Grandmother burns granddaughter's hands because she ate Indomie without her permission

A grandmother has been arrested in Benin city, Edo state after she burnt her grand daughter's fingers because she ate a plate of indomie without her permission. According to eyewitnesses, the grandmother tortued her granddaughter by placing her hand on a gas stove until it got badly burnt. A person who witnessed the incident reported the case to the Edo State Ministry of Women Affairs who alerted the police and the grandmother has been arrested. The little girl is currently receiving medical care at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital UBTH.

Young lady slashes ex-boyfriend's neck with razor blade in Delta State

 The lady pictured above, who lives in Sapele, Delta State, attacked her ex-boyfriend with a razor blade and nearly decapitated him... The incident reportedly happened on Tuesday night, March 27. It was learnt that the man had slapped the lady for constantly talking bad about him to his mother and siblings. In retaliation she attacked him with blade. A good Samaritan rushed the victim to St James Hospital located at Amukpe, where he is currently receiving treatment.

Egyptian president wins second term with over 90 percent votes

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has won a second term with 96.9 percent of valid votes raising a previous tally from the preliminary count. The flagship state-owned newspaper Al-Ahram also raised its estimate of turnout in the March 26-28 election to 42.08 percent, saying 25 million of Egypt’s 60 million registered voters had cast ballots. On Tuesday, the paper had reported that Sisi was re-elected with 92 percent of the vote on a turnout of just over 40 percent. It gave no explanation for the upward revisions. Sisi, who as army chief ousted Egypt’s first freely elected president Islamist Mohamed Morsi after mass street protests in 2013, won his first term in 2014 with 96.9 percent of the vote. The only other candidate on the ballot paper this year, Moussa Mostafa Moussa, won 3.1 percent of the vote, Al-Ahram said. A young lady identified as Ebor Lovina died from injuries sustained after she was allegedly set ablaze by her boyfriend's elder brother for rejecting his advances. The graduate of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, was until her painful death, a staff at the Sun-Ray Hotel and Suites in Benin City. It was gathered that the accused had been pestering her for sex but she refused. She was rushed to the University Benin Teaching Hospital for treatment, where she later passed away. Shun hard drugs, NYSC DG advises military cadets

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps , Brig . Gen . Suleman Kazaure , has warned cadets of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna State, against the use of hard drugs, which was said to be a common practice in the academy . Kazaure gave the advice in Abuja on Thursday , while receiving 37 NDA cadets from the Department of Computer Science, who came on a tour of the NYSC’ s Information and Communication Technology facility . The DG urged the cadets to be diligent during the ICT tour , noting that every aspect of the military activities and operations had been computerised . The NYSC DG , Kazaure, said , “ Gentlemen, avoid drugs . I know it is common in the academy . I used to serve there . Public commentators and thousands of Nigerians invaded the social media space on Thursday , condemning the roles allegedly played by some presidential aides in the controversial award for President Muhammadu Buhari by the Martin Luther King center a few days ago . Pictures of the delegation from the centre, The King Center , presenting the award on behalf of the family of legendary American civil rights activist to Buhari at the Presidential villa , found their way into the media space hours after the visit. Obviously uncomfortable with the development , The King Center tweeted on Wednesday , dissociating itself from the award . Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen on Thursday reportedly killed six persons and injured four others in two separate attacks on Baking Kofi , Kaninkon Chiefdom in the Jema ’ a Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has charged the Managing Director of Heritage Bank, Ifiesimama Sekibo, before the Federal High Court in Lagos for an alleged fraud of N 605 , 321 , 051 . 05. Joined with Sekibo in the charge sheet marked FHC/C/ 95C/18 is one Kolapo Kola Daisi and a company , Greame Properties Limited . The EFCC, in the first count , alleged that Sekibo, on July 29 , 2016 , “while being a bank employee, to wit : Managing Director of Heritage Bank, acquired the sum of N 180 m beyond your legitimate income through Greame Properties Limited , a company owned by you . ” The EFCC prosecutor , Ekene Iheanacho, who signed the charge sheet, said the bank chief violated Section 7 (1 ) of the Bank Employees, etc (Declaration of Assets ) Act, Cap B 1 , Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 and he is liable to be punished under Section 7 (2 ) of the same Act . According to Alexander Okere , Benin Unknown gunmen have shot dead a leader of the All Progressives Congress in Edo State, Mr. Samson Sedi, in the Etsako West Local Government Area of the state. It was gathered that Sedi, who was the youth leader of the APC in the area , was killed in Jattu on Wednesday. The state Commissioner of Police , Mr. Johnson Kokumo , confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Thursday . According to a source , the deceased, also known as “ Power Remain, ” died after he was attacked by suspected armed robbers at an NNPC mega station in Jattu . But Kokumo said that the incident was being investigated as a case of murder as the victim was not dispossessed of his belongings . The police commissioner said , “ We are investigating a murder case . We are not investigating armed robbery. It is no longer news on how to create a blog to unn students.  Now the question is how do I link my blog to unn website as it is a mandatory for every unn students to creat a blog and to also link it to the school website.  Below are the steps you must follow if you want to link your blog.  1. Login to your blog account that is www.blogger.com and sign in.  If you don't have an account yet you can create one. 2. Click on publish new post by this time you should be able to see a blank page. 3. Open a new tab and type in the Web address you want to link.  That www.unn.edu.ng 4. Open any of the post from the school website and copy  the post topic or heading. Paste it on your blog heading. 5. Copy the url link that it on the address bar. 6. JAMB Releases Results Statistics For 2018 UTME. JAMB has now sent in the Official Result Statistics for the 2018 UTME conducted between 9th – 17th March, 2018. This statistics includes the total number of results to be released, and the number of results being withheld for  further investigations. JAMB claims to have viewed all CCTV footage in all centres nationwide.  They combined all the information from the CCTV footage, with reports from  supervisors, monitors and other independent Nigerians, to come up with the  following statistics; Total Number of 2018 UTME Candidates: 1,652,825 Number of Released Results: 1,502,978 Number of With-held Results: 112,331 Number of Results for Blind Candidates (Still With-held): 350 According to the JAMB Spokesman, Mr. Fabian Benjamin, the above numbers exclude the results for Foreign  Candidates, who are expected to write their own exams in April.

President Buhari receives Dapchi schoolgirls in Aso Rock.   Premium Times reports that the meeting between the girls and the president is holding at the press gallery of the state house.  The newspaper stated that the girls were flown to Abuja on Thursday, March 22, received medical evaluation and were debriefed prior to meeting the president.
