Breaking News: LIST OF SUCCESSFUL AND RESERVE CANDIDATES FOR ADMISSION INTO 75 REGULAR COMBATANT COURSE NDA

 
   The Armed Forces Selection Board (AFSB) Interview for 75 Regular Course (RC) of Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) 
took place from 27 May – 14 July, 2023. The List of Successful Candidates whose names appear below and can also be accessed through the NDA Official Website NDA were successful at the AFSB Interview. The candidates 
have been offered admission into NDA for the 75 RC and the successful candidates are to report to NDA Ribadu Campus (old site), 
Kaduna on Saturday 26 August 2023. Cadets upon admission into the NDA are full time students and not employees in training. 
They shall not claim any form of right or engagement whatsoever as an employee of the institution or Federal Government of Nigeria upon dismissal or withdrawal from the Academy before commission as an officer. Any candidate who fails to report by Monday, 28 August 2023 will forfeit his or her place. Selected and Reserve candidates are to report on the same date and will be received on arrival at the reception centre located at the Centre of Excellence Building, NDA Ribadu Campus.

After a long battle with blood clotting on his leg, veteran actor, John Okafor aka Mr Ibu has died. The actor passed away in a hospital in Lagos state on Saturday, March 2.  According to family sources, the actor has been on life support after he underwent a second surgery for his ailment recently. The family source said that his blood pressure has been over 200 after he had the surgery and that efforts were being made to stabilize it before he sadly passed away this evening.  The actor battled with constant clotting of blood on his leg (diseased blood vessels) and other health challenges for years. In October 2023, he came out publicly to seek financial assistance to treat his ailment. There were plans to fly him abroad for further medical care but that plan was aborted by his doctors who believed he wasn't fit to fly. Applicants will now get passports in two weeks - Minister of Interior

Nigeria's minister of interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has stated that Nigerians would have to wait more than two weeks for an international passport anymore.   The minister, on September 7, gave the NIS a two-week deadline to remove all passport application backlogs. He added that the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) had cleared all the 204,332 passport application backlogs. Speaking on Wednesday, October 4 in Abuja while updating Nigerians on the status of the passport backlog in the country,Tunji-Ojo said: “No one will ever wait for two weeks to get passports again. If you apply and have been captured, you will get your passport within two weeks.” He noted: “Immigration service did three shifts to make sure that we clear the backlogs and to ensure that never again in the history of Nigeria, are we going to have a backlog. President Buhari receives Dapchi schoolgirls in Aso Rock.   Premium Times reports that the meeting between the girls and the president is holding at the press gallery of the state house.  The newspaper stated that the girls were flown to Abuja on Thursday, March 22, received medical evaluation and were debriefed prior to meeting the president. Police kill another man in France during rioting in Marseille sparked by cops' 'execution' of teenage driver Nahel

French prosecutors have opened an investigation into the death of a 27-year old man, fatally shot by a rubber bullet during riots on Saturday July 1, the Marseille prosecutor's office said on Tuesday July 4.   It comes amid the civil unrest across France after a 17-year-old boy ,  Nahel Merzouk , was separately shot dead at point-blank range by a policeman during a traffic stop in a Parisian suburb last week.     Thousands have been arrested in the week of nationwide clashes, with some 45,000 officers deployed to tackle the unrest.   Prosecutors say the death of an unnamed man in Marseille was caused by a violent shock to the chest from a 'flash-ball' projectile as used by riot police, but did not specify who fired or owned the gun.   The man died in the night from July 1 to July 2, while Marseille was engulfed in riots.   Prosecutors said it was not possible to determine where the man was when he was shot or whether the victim had taken pa...

I have two sons from different mothers - Singer Portable opens up on his private life

Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has disclosed that he has two sons from different mothers.  During an interview with Jahbless Original Intelligence, Portable spoke about his private life. He said he has many girlfriends professing love for him because of his new-found fame.  He added that he has a girlfriend he really loves and wants to marry but she is now "misbehaving" because of his new "glory".  Speaking about kids, he said he has two sons from two different women. He said: "I have two boys, strong mafians."  When asked about the mother of the children, he revealed that his sons are from different mothers.  He, however, declined to answer when he asked about their whereabouts.  He also spoke about how much he suffered before his rise to stardom.
