Send me as peace offering to Ibrahim Traore, I love him – Cossy Ojiakor to ECOWAS

Actress and singer, Cossy Ojiakor has said that ECOWAS, Nigeria can send her as peace offering to Burkina Faso’s military ruler, Ibrahim Traore.

She said this following the coup happening in some African countries with the recent in Niger Republic where its military junta took over power and sent President Muhammad Bazoum into detention.

In 2022, Captain Ibrahim Traore, 34 became the head of state following the coup that ousted Lt. Col. Paul Henri Sandaogo Damiba. This would be the second coup that occurred in the country.

Captain Ibrahim Traoré on his part said he acted because his predecessor, who ousted his democratically elected predecessor, failed to address a growing Islamist insurgency.

Ojiakor who took to social media to express her love for Traore, described him as a cute, intelligent and brave man.

She said, “I love this man, Ibrahim Traore. He is so cute, intelligent and brave. Incase Nigeria/ECOWAS want to send a peace offering to him, I am available. I present myself as a peace offering. Will he take me? Africa really has good looking, brave men, tall, dark and handsome.”

The popular actress however slammed the Nigerian politicians for failing to develop the country despite their many promises.

“Nigeria, an oil producing nation does not have a refinery. Our Nigerian men are not that brave. Especially, all those politicians in Nigeria, most of them are just good in girls matter. They have coconut heads. I don’t want to mention names," Ojiakor said.

Marketers demand suspension of VAT on diesel

Oil marketers have called on the Federal Government to suspend the Value Added Tax on diesel, as it would further increase the burden on Nigerians. The Chairman of the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, and Chief Executive Officer of Ardova Energy, Olumide Adeosun, made the appeal during an interactive session with journalists in Lagos on Tuesday. He suggested that temporarily exempting diesel from VAT would help alleviate the financial burden for the general population, especially amidst the petrol prices hike. Man Narrowly Escapes Death After House Ceiling Collapsed On Him.

A man is lucky to be alive after narrowly escaping death following a mishap which occurred on Wednesday, September 12th in Imo state. According to Stephen Chidiebere Anoro from Owerri, Imo state, a portion of the house (the ceiling) fell on his brother while he was in the room but he narrowly escaped the tragedy and came out alive. An excited Stephen took to Facebook to share a footage showing aftermath of the incident as he wrote;  Friend and friends make una follow me thank God for savings the life of my brother yesterday being 12th September 2018.. Last year, four occupants of a two storey building on Fire Service/Mbaise Road died after the building collapsed at the early hour on Sunday. Abuja-Lagos highway to be completed in 2027, to last 100 years - Umahi

Minister of Works, David Umahi has revealed that the Abuja-Lagos highway will be completed in 2027 and will last for 100 years.    Addressing journalists on Saturday, September 23, Umahi said the proposed 470 kilometres Abuja-Lagos Greenfield superhighway will be built by a private sector consortium at no cost to the government.   The minister said the consortium will operate the facility for a yet-to-be-determined period on a build, operate and transfer deal.
