Nigerian mum bursts into tears as she reunites with her mentally challenged son who went missing four years ago

A heartwarming video showing the moment a Nigerian mum reunited with her mentally challenged son, Bamidele, who went missing four years ago, has been shared online. Bamidele who was a four hundred level student of the Olabisi Onabanjo University was found wandering on the streets by an NGO, South-Westshire Health Trust, who took him into their facility and has been taking care of him.  Recently, Bamidele could remember a bit about his family and his mum was successfully traced. Two days ago, she visited the NGO where she reunited with her son. The mum couldn't hold back tears as she hugged her son and asked repeatedly if he could remember her.

Nollywood veteran actor, Mr Ibu, finally goes home.

After a long battle with blood clotting on his leg, veteran actor, John Okafor aka Mr Ibu has died. The actor passed away in a hospital in Lagos state on Saturday, March 2.  According to family sources, the actor has been on life support after he underwent a second surgery for his ailment recently. The family source said that his blood pressure has been over 200 after he had the surgery and that efforts were being made to stabilize it before he sadly passed away this evening.  The actor battled with constant clotting of blood on his leg (diseased blood vessels) and other health challenges for years. In October 2023, he came out publicly to seek financial assistance to treat his ailment. There were plans to fly him abroad for further medical care but that plan was aborted by his doctors who believed he wasn't fit to fly. During the cause of his treatment, his leg was amputated in November 2023. The actor is survived by his wife and children. He was 62 years old. ...

Just In President Buhari Signs N8.91trn 2019 Budget Into Law

President Buhari has just signed the 2019 appropriation bill of N8.91 trillion into law.    The national assembly passed the budget into law after increasing the budget size from its initial N8.83 trillion.  President Buhari while signing the budget said he will work with the incoming 9th National Assembly to return to the January-December budget cycle.  He also said he will work with the 9th Assembly to have a more workable document that will facilitate the development of the nation as intended in the proposal submitted to the National Assembly.

Tragedy As Truck Crashes Into A School Bus In Enugu Leaving Scores Of Pupils Dead.

An unconfirmed number students have been confirmed dead in a road accident that happened on Wednesday evening, at Mmaku Hill, Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State. The tragic incident happened at Nkwo junction around 4:30pm when driver of Presentation Nursery and Primary school bus was conveying each students to their various destinations. It was gathered that the accident occurred after the brake of a company truck failed and rammed into a student filled school bus. A source, Spartan Arinze, told our correspondent that the students who are mostly the victims including some staff died immediately after the accident. The tragic accident also claimed the lives of a roadside tyre repairer, cyclist and mechanic, the source said.
