30-Year-Old Man Arrested For Defiling 13-Old-Girl In Ogun

The police in Ogun state have arrested a 30-year -old man identified as Adewale Olakusi for allegedly defiling a 13-year old girl (name withheld) in Ota area of Ado-Odo/Ota local government. In a statement released by the state police command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said Adewale was arrested on Saturday September 1st following a complaint by the father of the victim.
”The father reported at Onipanu Division that he discovered a sudden and unusual demeanor on his daughter as well as loss of appetite for food.

Upon the report, the DPO Onipanu Division SP Sangobiyi Johnson detailed detectives to effect the arrest of the suspect who happened to be living in the same house with the Parents of the victim. On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime but blamed it on the devil handiwork.

The victim has been taken to the hospital where medical report confirmed that the girl has been carnally violated.” he said
Meanwhile, the commissioner of Police CP Ahmed Iliyasu has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for proper investigation and prosecution.

Nollywood veteran actor, Mr Ibu, finally goes home.

After a long battle with blood clotting on his leg, veteran actor, John Okafor aka Mr Ibu has died. The actor passed away in a hospital in Lagos state on Saturday, March 2.  According to family sources, the actor has been on life support after he underwent a second surgery for his ailment recently. The family source said that his blood pressure has been over 200 after he had the surgery and that efforts were being made to stabilize it before he sadly passed away this evening.  The actor battled with constant clotting of blood on his leg (diseased blood vessels) and other health challenges for years. In October 2023, he came out publicly to seek financial assistance to treat his ailment. There were plans to fly him abroad for further medical care but that plan was aborted by his doctors who believed he wasn't fit to fly. During the cause of his treatment, his leg was amputated in November 2023. The actor is survived by his wife and children. He was 62 years old. ...

Applicant Dies Inside Ikoyi Passport Office Toilet

An applicant seeking Nigerian international passport has died in Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) Passport office, Ikoyi, Lagos. The applicant was said to have arrived the passport office at about 7.am in company of his wife and they were asked to wait till 9.am when they would be attended to. It was gathered that at about I0.am, the man became restless and started complaining of severe heat and discomfort. He, however, requested to use the rest room. However, trouble started when he didn’t come out of the toilet after about half an hour and his his wife became very worried. Man Arrested For Dressing Like A Female Sex Worker

The Abuja police command have arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly disguising as a woman to lure men at nightclubs in Abuja. The suspect,  Iliyasu Omika , a native of Kogi State who stays in Tungan Maje in Abuja, was among 15 suspects paraded by the FCT Police Command on Wednesday for allegedly luring men at nightclubs into amorous relationships while disguised as a lady. Police said he was arrested at a brothel in Mpape on November 5 around 5am “after his supposed client raised alarm upon discovery that he was actually a man and not a woman as he claimed.” When speaking with journalists, Omika denied the allegations but admitted that he met the man in a bar while he was with his sisters.
