University Of Nigeria Nsukka To Requires Bank Verification Number (BVN) For Next Semester Registration.

It was no longer news for the Lions and lioness as the institution came up with a funny ideology of no blog account no course registration and definitely no exams for victims who fails to comply with the order. 

Now the institution has come up with another approach of BVN before Registration.

"Registration for Next Academic Session

Registration for next academic session will require Bank Verification Number (BVN). Please endeavor to go to your bank to obtain your BVN before resumption"
Is this madness or a form of innovation and restructuring the educational system?

US government increases work and student visa fees by 15%

The United States government has announced a hike in fees for certain non-immigrant visa applications (NIV).   The 15 percent increment affects the student visa, exchange visitor visa, petition-based non-immigrant visas for temporary workers and treaty applicants.    The statement released on the bureau of consular affairs website, travel.state.gov, and on the websites of US embassies and consulates, reads;    “These increases were published in the federal register on March 28, 2023, and will be effective on May 30, 2023. The fee for visitor visas for business or tourism (B1/B2s and BCCs), and other non-petition based NIVs such as student and exchange visitor visas, will increase from $160 to $185.  “The fee for certain petition-based nonimmigrant visas for temporary workers (H, L, O, P, Q, and R categories) will increase from $190 to $205. UNN RELEASED HER 2019/2020 SUPPLEMENTARY ADMISSION LIST II AFTER JAMB 2020 EXAMINATION

University Of Nigeria Nsukka released her 2019 supplementary admission list after  JAMB conducts her 2020 examination for the admission process. This is coming four months after the school released her merit list on the month of November 2019, and also after three months of intensive lectures by the freshmen. INEC warns of fake online registration portal

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has alerted Nigerians of the existence of a fake online site urging Nigerians to enroll for "voter card pvc" registration.   This comes barely 24 hours after INEC announced the suspension of voter registration across the country.   The fake online portal claimed that the Federal Government has approved PVC registration online to avoid the unnecessary crowd in the "NIMC".   INEC warned that the site is not linked to the Commission and the link/portal is spurious and from a dubious source.   The Commission said INEC is the only body constitutionally and legally mandated to conduct the registration of persons qualified to vote in any election in Nigeria and to update and revise the register when the need arises.   It reiterated that the Commission is solely responsible for organizing, undertaking, and supervising national elections in the country and does not share this responsibility with anybod...
