IrokoTV boss, Jason Njoku, has recovered from the novel Coronavirus.
 
In an update shared on his Instagram page, Jason who was discharged from the hospital on Saturday November 7, described the disease as ''vicious and relentless."  
 
According to him, the disease has made him the most unwell that he has ever been in his life.
''24th Oct & 7th Nov. Finally leaving the hospital. Can barely walk more than 10m a time but I'm now resting at home. Covid19 is vicious, relentless and made me the most unwell I have ever been in my life. A long recovery ahead. But we thank God'' he tweeted

Nigeria's minister of interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has stated that Nigerians would have to wait more than two weeks for an international passport anymore.   The minister, on September 7, gave the NIS a two-week deadline to remove all passport application backlogs. He added that the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) had cleared all the 204,332 passport application backlogs. Speaking on Wednesday, October 4 in Abuja while updating Nigerians on the status of the passport backlog in the country,Tunji-Ojo said: “No one will ever wait for two weeks to get passports again. Nollywood veteran actor, Mr Ibu, finally goes home.

After a long battle with blood clotting on his leg, veteran actor, John Okafor aka Mr Ibu has died. The actor passed away in a hospital in Lagos state on Saturday, March 2.  According to family sources, the actor has been on life support after he underwent a second surgery for his ailment recently. The family source said that his blood pressure has been over 200 after he had the surgery and that efforts were being made to stabilize it before he sadly passed away this evening.  The actor battled with constant clotting of blood on his leg (diseased blood vessels) and other health challenges for years. In October 2023, he came out publicly to seek financial assistance to treat his ailment. There were plans to fly him abroad for further medical care but that plan was aborted by his doctors who believed he wasn't fit to fly. During the cause of his treatment, his leg was amputated in November 2023. The actor is survived by his wife and children. He was 62 years old. ...

President Buhari has pledged that his government will not rest until the remaining Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists in April 2014 are safely released. Tinubu sends second ministerial list today

President Bola Tinubu will today send a new batch of ministerial nominees to the Senate for screening,  The PUNCH  has learnt. According to a very reliable source in the Senate, the names would either come on Tuesday night or very early on Wednesday morning. The source exclusively told our correspondent that the names of the new batch of ministerial nominees would be read at the plenary today. The lawmaker added that the screening of the 28 nominees will be concluded today so that the next batch can be screened thereafter. “By Wednesday, the new set of nominees will be unveiled, so that by Monday, we will be through with their screening. “We want to conclude with the screening before we go on our recess. We wouldn’t want a situation where we would go on recess and we would now start calling lawmakers to back to come for screening,” the lawmaker said. Twenty-seven-year-old man, Joseph Fekala, who was last week arrested for killing a 26-year-old lady, Kate Oguoh, in his apartment in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa State, has recounted how he murdered the young lady.   While being paraded before newsmen, the suspect said he and Kate got into an argument over the N50, 000 she sent to him to help in forex trading. He claimed he only choked her to death and had no motive of using her for any ritual purpose.   “We got into an argument over the N50,000 she sent to me for the suppose of forex trade she wanted to do. I tried to explain that I spent the money and will repay her but she angrily responded and pushed me.
