Suspected Ritual Killer Who Absconded From Oyo, Arrested In Ogun



The Ogun state police command has arrested a 20-year-old suspected ritual killer, Festus Simon who was accused of killing a 12-year-old boy in Ibadan the Oyo state capital

According to police authority, the suspect was arrested on the 4th of this month following information received by the police at Sotubo divisional headquarters Shagamu that the suspect who killed his victim on the 1st of October 2020 fled his residence at Iyana church area of Iwo road Ibadan

“He moved to Simawa area of Ogun state under the pretense of looking for a job in order to evade police arrest” the police spokesman said.

“Information further revealed that the suspect has been on the wanted list of Oyo state police command in connection with the killing of the innocent twelve-year-old and his accomplice has since been arrested.”

Upon obtaining the information, the Divisiinal Police Officer, Sotubo Division, SP Samuel Adefolalu led his detectives to the suspected killer’s hideout and he was promptly arrested.

Police says he has made a useful statement, while the Oyo state police command has been contacted for onwards transfer of the suspect.

On the strength of this, the Ogun commissioner of police CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun has warned that the state will never be a safe haven to any criminal.

Man Arrested For Dressing Like A Female Sex Worker

The Abuja police command have arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly disguising as a woman to lure men at nightclubs in Abuja. The suspect,  Iliyasu Omika , a native of Kogi State who stays in Tungan Maje in Abuja, was among 15 suspects paraded by the FCT Police Command on Wednesday for allegedly luring men at nightclubs into amorous relationships while disguised as a lady. Police said he was arrested at a brothel in Mpape on November 5 around 5am “after his supposed client raised alarm upon discovery that he was actually a man and not a woman as he claimed.” When speaking with journalists, Omika denied the allegations but admitted that he met the man in a bar while he was with his sisters. Abuja-Lagos highway to be completed in 2027, to last 100 years - Umahi

Minister of Works, David Umahi has revealed that the Abuja-Lagos highway will be completed in 2027 and will last for 100 years.    Addressing journalists on Saturday, September 23, Umahi said the proposed 470 kilometres Abuja-Lagos Greenfield superhighway will be built by a private sector consortium at no cost to the government.   The minister said the consortium will operate the facility for a yet-to-be-determined period on a build, operate and transfer deal.
