Homeless man slits woman’s throat after she let him into her home to take a bath

A homeless man in Utah allegedly slit a woman’s throat after she let him into her home to take a bath, police said.

 

Officers responded to a call of a woman heavily bleeding from the neck around 5 p.m. last Sunday, Feb. 6, at her home in Salt Lake City.

She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery. Her condition was later upgraded to stable, but her current condition is unknown, cops said.

The woman told investigators she let the man, later identified by police as 30-year-old Eric Jones, into her home to bathe.


Jones was located by city police around 1 a.m. Friday morning, Feb. 11, and later booked at the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on one count of aggravated assault.

Maintain cordial relationship with Wamakko, Shettima urges Sokoto governor

Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has urged the Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu, to maintain a cordial relationship with the former governor of the state and his political mentor, Senator Aliyu Wamakko. Volodymyr Zelensky has marked the 500th day of the Ukraine war by posting a video from an island that became a symbol of Ukrainian resistance. At the start of the war, Ukrainian soldiers defending Snake Island famously defied an order from a Russian warship to surrender. The Black Sea island was seized by Russia, but later reclaimed by Ukraine. In a video, the Ukrainian president called it a "place of victory" that would never be reconquered. In the undated clip, posted on Telegram, Mr Zelensky described it as proof that Ukraine would return every inch of its territory taken by Russia since the full-scale invasion began on 24 February 2022. Man, 27, says he can't find a job because he looks like a child

A 27-year-old man has gone viral after complaining that he can’t get job because he looks like a child. Videos of Mao Sheng, from Guangdong province, China, spread through social media.   In the video, he complained that the way he looks is proving to be a serious problem in his life.   He said most employers don’t believe him when he says how old he is, while others think his appearance will cause issues with authorities who could start snooping around if they think child labour laws are being broken.  The original video was recorded on a street in Dongguan, China, and sees him vent his frustration that he can’t support his father financially because he can’t find work.  He even said that he had initially gone out looking for work with a friend but while his friend had found work quickly, he was left without any offers.
