Almost seven hours was deducted from Chef Hilda Baci’s 100-hour attempt to become Guinness World Record holder for longest cooking marathon

The management of Guinness World Record has disclosed that almost seven hours was deducted from Chef Hilda Baci’s 100-hour attempt to become record holder for the longest cooking marathon. 

Explaining why Hilda was awarded 93 hours, 11 minutes and not 100 hours, the management of Guinness World Records said she “mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt.”

With 93 hours, 11 minutes, Hilda Baci was still able to break the previous record of 87 hours 45 minutes set by Chef Lata Tondon (India) in 2019.

Russia-Ukraine war: Nigeria, Algeria, Niger planning to create Gas Pipeline to Europe

Algeria, Nigeria and Niger have signed a memorandum of understanding on construction of a vast gas pipeline project offering Europe potential future alternatives to Russian supplies.   The Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline (TSGP) would transport billions of cubic metres of gas some 4,128 kilometres (2,565 miles) from Nigeria in West Africa, north through Niger and on to Algeria, according to a joint statement released by the three countries on Thursday evening,  July 28.   The statement says the gas could be pumped through the Mediterranean undersea Transmed pipeline to Italy, or loaded onto liquefied natural gas tankers for export.    Algerian Energy Minister Mohamed Arkab hosted Timipre Sylva and Mahamane Sani, his counterparts from Nigeria and Niger for talks on the project, Algerian state news agency APS reported.   The long-dormant project created in 2009 has galvanized more interest in recent months as gas prices have surged following Russia’s invasion of Uk...

The NDLEA has released a video evidence after declaring suspended police officer  Abba Kyari wanted for drug trafficking .   LIB reported earlier that Kyari is accused of taking out 15kg from 25kg of cocaine which him and his team intercepted after arresting some traffickers that came into the country from Ethiopia. He is also being accused of offering to give an NDLEA officer a cut from sale of the cocaine.   In the video shared, Kyari who was wearing a face mask was seen having a discussion with an NDLEA officer in Hausa.
