Media personality, Harri Obi has reacted to the ongoing conversation ahead of the 2023 general election.  

The media personality in his tweets, stated that no one is talking about Igbo presidency. According to him, Yoruba-Hausa-Yoruba presidency has been normalized and the third major ethnic group has been shut out from any discussion on the highest office in the land.  

Obi further stated that those saying the Igbos are not organized, forget that same excuse is a causative factor.

Nigeria's minister of interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has stated that Nigerians would have to wait more than two weeks for an international passport anymore.   The minister, on September 7, gave the NIS a two-week deadline to remove all passport application backlogs. He added that the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) had cleared all the 204,332 passport application backlogs. Tinubu sends second ministerial list today

President Bola Tinubu will today send a new batch of ministerial nominees to the Senate for screening,  The PUNCH  has learnt. According to a very reliable source in the Senate, the names would either come on Tuesday night or very early on Wednesday morning. The source exclusively told our correspondent that the names of the new batch of ministerial nominees would be read at the plenary today. The lawmaker added that the screening of the 28 nominees will be concluded today so that the next batch can be screened thereafter. “By Wednesday, the new set of nominees will be unveiled, so that by Monday, we will be through with their screening. “We want to conclude with the screening before we go on our recess. We wouldn’t want a situation where we would go on recess and we would now start calling lawmakers to back to come for screening,” the lawmaker said. Senate panel to present report on Buhari’s impeachment today

The Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters is expected to present its report on President Muhammadu Buhari’s impeachment on Wednesday. The committee is looking into the approval of the payment of $496m out of the Excess Crude Account for the purchase of military aircraft. The 12 Super Tucano aircraft ordered from the United States will be delivered in 2020. The Senate had on Thursday resolved to refer the matter to the committee for legal advice, when lawmakers became divided on it. The panel was given the mandate to see whether the President violated the constitution or not. Most of the lawmakers who spoke on the withdrawal pointed out that the President had breached Section 80 of the 1999 Constitution, while a few disagreed. Public commentators and thousands of Nigerians invaded the social media space on Thursday , condemning the roles allegedly played by some presidential aides in the controversial award for President Muhammadu Buhari by the Martin Luther King center a few days ago . Pictures of the delegation from the centre, The King Center , presenting the award on behalf of the family of legendary American civil rights activist to Buhari at the Presidential villa , found their way into the media space hours after the visit.
