Court remands Trinity Guy, minor’s parents for 52 more days

A Family Court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Tuesday, again ordered the remand of a prankster, Maruf Abdullahi, aka Trinity Guy, and the parents of a minor to the Agodi Correction Centre until August 31, for allegedly sexually exploiting a 10-year-old girl in the state.

PUNCH Metro had reported that the police invited the prankster in connection with a video clip that involved a minor and was, alongside the parents of the minor charged with conspiracy and sexual abuse/exploitation.

“Popular content creator, Abdullahi, aka Trinity Guy, has been contacted and invited to the state police command in connection with the disturbing viral skit content making the rounds across the social media space concerning a female minor. Further updates would be provided soon,” the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso said.

The Magistrate, P. O. Adetuyibi, ordered Abdullahi, 31, and the parents of the child, Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife, Rofiat, 29, to continue to be remanded in Agodi.


Earlier, the prosecution counsel, Oluwakemi Arowosaye, told the court that the accused persons allegedly conspired together to wit sexual abuse, adding, ‘Trinity on December 17, 2022, was alleged to have sexually abused and exploited the 10-year-old girl at the Kuola area, Ibadan.

The police said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 35 (1) and was punishable under Section 35 (2) of the state Child Rights Law 2006.

She added that it also contravened the provisions of Section 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.

Ray Stevenson, actor in 'Thor,' 'RRR' and 'Ahsoka,' dies at 58

British actor, Ray Stevenson, best known for starring roles in “Punisher: War Zone” and the “Rome” television show, has died at the age of 58.   Stevenson died on Sunday May 21 , four days before his 59th birthday,  his publicist confirmed in a statement. Tragedy As Truck Crashes Into A School Bus In Enugu Leaving Scores Of Pupils Dead.

An unconfirmed number students have been confirmed dead in a road accident that happened on Wednesday evening, at Mmaku Hill, Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State. The tragic incident happened at Nkwo junction around 4:30pm when driver of Presentation Nursery and Primary school bus was conveying each students to their various destinations. It was gathered that the accident occurred after the brake of a company truck failed and rammed into a student filled school bus. FG, labour talks collapse, NLC begins strike Aug 14

Barely 24 hours after meeting with President Bola Tinubu where an agreement was reached to call off their protests, the rapprochement between the organised labour and the Federal Government appeared to have collapsed as the unions on Thursday night vowed to embark on a nationwide strike from August 14 if their leaders were summoned for contempt of court orders.  The Nigeria Labour Congress hinged its decision on the contempt of court application filed by the Federal Ministry of Justice against the labour leaders on Wednesday.
