Update: Manchester City defender, Benjamin Mendy found not guilty of seven of nine charges

Saudi Arabian businessman, Mushref Al-Ghamdi has reportedly bid $2.66m (£2.2m) for the 'Beyond Imagination' ticket that would allow him to meet Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

 

An auction is currently being held for the ticket which is for the game between a Saudi All-Star's XI featuring players from Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr , Ronaldo's new club and PSG in Riyadh on January 19.

 

The auction is set to close on January 17, and Al-Ghamdi, the general manager of real estate group AqarOne, is leading the way with his lucrative offer, according to Reuters.

 

After watching the match, the lucky winner will get the chance to attend the winner's ceremony and enter both dressing rooms, meaning they can meet Ronaldo and Messi. It also promises to be a special occasion, with Ronaldo in line to make his debut in Saudi Arabia after signing with Al-Nassr last month.

 

The 37-year-old put pen to paper on a £175m-a-year deal that is due to run until 2025.

President Buhari has pledged that his government will not rest until the remaining Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram terrorists in April 2014 are safely released. Trump loses immunity shield in E Jean Carroll defamation lawsuit

Ex-President Donald Trump can be held liable for disparaging comments he made about a woman who accused him of rape, the US Department of Justice has said. Its lawyers previously argued Mr Trump was legally immune as he was president when he made the remarks in 2019. But on Tuesday government attorneys said they no longer had "sufficient basis" to conclude Mr Trump had acted within the scope of his duties. The decision boosts E Jean Carroll's defamation lawsuit against Mr Trump. In May, Mr Trump was ordered to pay the former magazine columnist $5m (£3.9m) after being found liable for sexual abuse of her in 1996 at a New York department store. Ms Carroll, 79, is currently seeking $10m from Mr Trump in a defamation lawsuit, which is due to go to trial in January. The President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has revealed that he met some debts and financial challenges on the ground when he assumed office. Iwuanyanwu, however, praised the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, for coming to the rescue of the apex Igbo socio-cultural group. Man sets himself ablaze in Ondo

A 50-year-old man identified as Ojo Ogundeji, has died after setting himself ablaze, razing down his father’s house in Oloruntedo area, Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State.   The deceased reportedly locked himself inside a room and lit the fire. The Nation reported  he told his rescuers before he died, that he committed the act because he was being mocked about his living condition.   He killed himself after returning from Lagos State to celebrate Christmas and New Year holidays with his family.   A witness, Mrs Sabaina Ogundeji, said:    “In  the morning, Ojo set fire under the staircase of the house and said nobody should  put it off.
