Girl, 3, dies after being found in washing machine


A three-year-old girl has died after being found in a washing machine in France.

 

According to the Le Parisien newspaper, the girl was found alive in the washing machine last night, Jan. 12.

 

She was then rushed to hospital where she died in emergency care an hour later.

 

Her father and another family member reportedly discovered her in the machine during dinner.

 

The household appliance hadn’t been turned on but had doors that shut automatically, Le Parisien reports.

 

Prosecutors say the girl had been at home in her family’s apartment in Paris’s 20th arrondissement.

 

Authorities in Paris are investigating, with a special unit for the protection of minors leading the investigation.

Maintain cordial relationship with Wamakko, Shettima urges Sokoto governor

Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has urged the Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu, to maintain a cordial relationship with the former governor of the state and his political mentor, Senator Aliyu Wamakko. He urged Governor Aliyu not to allow rumour mongers to create a rift between him and Senator Wamakko, who is also the leader of APC in Sokoto state. Zelensky visits Snake Island on Ukraine War's 500th day

Volodymyr Zelensky has marked the 500th day of the Ukraine war by posting a video from an island that became a symbol of Ukrainian resistance. At the start of the war, Ukrainian soldiers defending Snake Island famously defied an order from a Russian warship to surrender. The Black Sea island was seized by Russia, but later reclaimed by Ukraine. In a video, the Ukrainian president called it a "place of victory" that would never be reconquered. In the undated clip, posted on Telegram, Mr Zelensky described it as proof that Ukraine would return every inch of its territory taken by Russia since the full-scale invasion began on 24 February 2022. Man, 27, says he can't find a job because he looks like a child

A 27-year-old man has gone viral after complaining that he can’t get job because he looks like a child. Videos of Mao Sheng, from Guangdong province, China, spread through social media.   In the video, he complained that the way he looks is proving to be a serious problem in his life.   He said most employers don’t believe him when he says how old he is, while others think his appearance will cause issues with authorities who could start snooping around if they think child labour laws are being broken.  The original video was recorded on a street in Dongguan, China, and sees him vent his frustration that he can’t support his father financially because he can’t find work.  He even said that he had initially gone out looking for work with a friend but while his friend had found work quickly, he was left without any offers.
