Oil discovered in Nasarawa, NNPC to begin drilling in March – Kyari

Group Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited, Mele Kyari, has announced the discovery of oil in Nasarawa State.

 

Kyari said the official spud-in of first oil well in the state will commence in two months. A tweet shared by NNPC read; 

 

“Group CEO @nnpclimited @MKKyari announced today that the official spud-in of first oil well in Nasarawa State will commence in March 2023. This, according to @MKKyari, is in continuation of hydrocarbon exploration activities in Nigeria’s inland basins.

“@MKKyari disclosed this while receiving in audience a delegation of prominent Nasarawa State indegenes, led by the State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule at the #NNPCTowers, Abuja, earlier today.”

                                                                                 

This comes less than two months after President Muhammadu Buhari flagged off the Kolmani Integrated Development Project in the North-East.

Nigerian Defence Academy Screening Test Holds 8 June 2019

The Nigerian Defense Academy Kaduna affixed new date for her entrance exam. Sequel to the earlier postponement of the NDA Screening Test for 71 Regular Course, the Academy has fixed Saturday 8  June 2019 as the new date in which the screening test will hold simultaneously across different centres nationwide.   In the light of this, candidates who duly applied to the Nigerian Defence Academy and successfully scored minimum of 180 (One Hundred and Eighty) in UTME  are advised to visit application portal on the NDA website rcapplications.nda.edu.ng to select the examination centre of their choice and print out their examination card    Please note that only those with duly printed Examination Card will be admitted into the various centres for the test.   Once again, the Academy wishes to thank the general public for the patience and usual cooperation. Chelsea 'open talks over a shock swoop for ex-Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang'

Chelsea have reportedly opened talks with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as Thomas Tuchel already has a close relationship with the forward.   The Gabonese striker only left Arsenal in January, moving on a free transfer to Barcelona, but could now return to the Premier League before the end of the summer transfer window.   Chelsea coach, Tuchel is keen to add another striker to his squad after Romelu Lukaku secured a loan move to Inter Milan earlier this summer.   With Aubameyang's future at Barcelona in doubt, new Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly had given the green light to pursue a move for the 33-year-old this week.   Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported that Chelsea have started discussions over a move for the forward, with talks underway over personal term despite no fee being agreed.   He reports that Aubameyang is one of a number of striker targets under consideration, with a meeting also held with the representatives of Red Bull Salzburg's Benjamin Sesko.
